Kentish Killer Cycle Sportive

The first big challenge of 2015

Is there any public transport of getting to the start on Sunday?  I am coming from London and the first train gets to Swanley for about 7.50am, but my start time is around 8.20am, and given the 5 mile ride it'll be pretty close on weather I'll get there on time. Any help appreciated. Thanks :)

I don't start until 9:22, but if you can get your time changed and can get down to SE London I could give you a lift there?

Hi Mark, that's very kind of you. Where abouts in SE London and what time would I need to get there please?  Need to work out if it's possible :)

Ian,

*if* I go (see below) I'll set off around 8ish, maybe a bit before.

However, at the moment, with rain and 50 mph winds predicted, I'm not sure I'll be going - I expect suffering on a sportive, but not 100% of the time.  I urge you to make other arrangements so you can be sure of getting there.

sorry, forgot to say, I'm in New Cross

Wowzers - now that doesn't sound good :(  I best keep an eye on the weather as cycling in that wind would be more than unpleasant....!

Thanks for letting me know as well :)

Hi, sorry we can't help with the trains - and the weather for that matter! However, if you are worried about getting there for your (early) slot, we do have some flexibility with people starting later rather than earlier.

Weather wise, Met Office is showing light rain, mild and 15mph winds. Nice! Hope it does stay dry - it's seriously unpleasant marshalling as well as riding.

here's the current forecast for Brands Hatch on sunday : http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/brands-hatch-ke...

at midday: 60% chance of rain, 28 mph wind, gusting to 49mph. On the plus side, the UV index is low. :-)
